Nike Air Max Day Patch Pack

With Nike's 2nd annual Air Max Day taking place on March 26th, the info on all the Air Max series releases slated for that day are starting to trickle in.  For those of you unfamiliar with Air Max Day, its basically a holiday proposed by Nike that celebrates the breakthrough of visible air units being used in Nike Running Sneakers, with the first one dating back to 1987, the Air Max 1.  Last year, Nike introduced us to Air Max Day by unveiling a limited edition Air Max 1, that featured one of the original White/Red Colorways from 1987, along with a "yellowed" vintage looking sole and a 3.26 logo replacing the usually Nike Air logo featured on the tongue.  For 2015, Nike is bringing us a slew of Air Max releases for Air Max Day 2016 including the Air Max Patch Pack which features original colorways of the Air Max 1, Air Max 90, and Air Max 95, all of which features Nikelabs new "Patch" concept which was introduced on the Army Inspired Air Max 1 and Air Max 90 Sneakerboot "Patch Pack".

NIkeLab unveiled the Patch concept when they rolled out the Army Inspired, Air Max 1 Patch Pack.

The Air Max Day Patch Pack will feature the 3 infamous Air Max models mentioned above in what is possibly the most popular colorway in each respective model.  The Air Max 1 Patch will release in the White/Navy/Red colorway, while the Air Max 90 Patch will feature the classic Infrared colorway, and the Air Max 95 Patch will round things out in the classic Neon Yellow colorway.  All 3 releases from the Air Max Day Patch Pack will feature a series of patches that celebrate the Air Max lineage and help complete the overall look of the classic sneakers.  Each sneaker will be sold separately but each sneaker includes the patch pack for that specific shoe, should make for some interesting, customized looks.

The Air Max 1, Air Max 90, and Air Max 95 Patch Pack will all release on Air Max Day, March 26th.  The Patch Pack will be releases online at and in-store at select Nike Lab retailers, along with select other Nike retailers.  No retail price has been announced yet at this time, but I would expect a premium price tag of at least $160-$180 for the AM1 and AM90, and a price tag of $180-200 for the AM95.

Now that we know Nike will be reissuing some of their most classic Air Max silhouettes in the form of a Air Max Patch Pack, for Air Max Day 2016, will you be attempting to grab any of the pairs, or will you be going for the trifecta?  Let us know what you think about Nike's Air Max Patch Pack for Air Max Day 2016.
