My good friends over at Dukes Barber Shop are back at it again with their latest offering from DBSMC line which comes in the form of a snapback hat. The DBS logo draws inspiration from the logo of the New England based sneaker powerhouse, New Balance. Last year, New Balance teamed up with Kith NYC owner, Ronnie Fieg, on a collaborative effort which released last year on Black Friday. The Ronnie Fieg x New Balance 1600 "Daytona" features a unique mixture of colors that are based on the Kith frontman's childhood trips to Daytona Beach, Florida.
The design team for Dukes Barber Shop's clothing line, are avid sneaker collectors and huge fans of many of the sneakers Ronnie Fieg has hard a part in. Conversation in the shop consistenly includes debates over the newest and hottest kicks, and throughout those many conversations, a great idea came to mind, why not design some hats that draw inspiration from some of the shops favorite sneaker designs. The design team which is made up of shop owner Duke, and close friend Larry Glasser, a barber and graphic designer got to work on some ideas and have brought them to life in the form on a new snapback series from Dukes Barber Shop.
The DBS "Daytona" Snapback draws inspiration from a shop favorite, the previously mentioned Ronnie Fieg x New Balance 1600 collaboration that released last year on Black Friday. The beautiful "Daytona" themed snapback features a navy suede upper and a beige vinyl brim. Atop the navy suede upper sits the newest DBS logo stitched in pink with white accents. A pink button on top combined with a soft grey underbrim round out the details used to bring the "Daytona" theme to life.
The new DBS "Daytona" hats came out amazing and are available now at Dukes Barber Shop 807 Madison Ave, Albany, NY or online now at http://dbsmercantileco.bigcartel.com. Below are some pictures I took of the newly released DBS "Daytona " snapback inspired by New Balance and Ronnie Fieg. Take a look through the pictures and stay tuned to see what's coming next from the guys over at Dukes Barber Shop.
