It seems like New York City based fashion brand, Public School NYC, and Jordan Brand have linked up again on an exclusive set of Air Jordan 10's. We saw the two brands team up last year for a friends and family release of the PSNY Air Jordan 1's which premiered during New York Fashion Week in 2014. The release version ended up slightly different than the Friends and Family promo pair, mostly in part to the swapping out of the PSNY logo on the heel and tongue and replacing it with NYC and 23 logos. The Air Jordan 1 NYC was a very limited release, made available only through the Jordan Flight 23 store on a few different occasions.
The newest Air Jordan retros designed by the team at Public School NYC, which are rumored to feature 2 Air Jordan Retro 10's. Although we've seen a few sneak peeks at a mostly Black and Grey pair which I believe debuted on the runway of this years New York Fashion Week, over the weekend we got our first good look at the Public School NYC x Air Jordan 10 "Tropic City". The "Tropic City" Air Jordan 10 was given to friends and family of the brand, and also to lucky guests at the Red Bull Guest House in Miami, Florida this past weekend for Ultra Music Festival. In a recent interview with Complex, the team behind Public School, Dao-Yi Chow and Maxwell Osborne, admit that they may have something in the works with Jordan brand that could see a wider release. My guess would be that we could only hope that the "Tropic City" Air Jordan 10 will be the one releasing, chances are the pair that releases will not be the one we see here, but no need to worry, I'm sure Public School won't let us down, they definitely didn't the first time around. I'm an avid fan of both the Friends and Family version, and the release version of the PSNY 1, and this Friends and Family Tropic City Air Jordan 10 is nothing less than amazing also. I'll be the first to admit that I've never been a huge fan of the Air Jordan 10, and although this colorway may be compared to the recently released, Bulls Over Broadway Retro 10, I just wasn't a fan of those either. The shade of Red on the Tropic City Jordan 10 is much brighter and the lack of a speckled midsole makes the Tropic City 10's much better than the previously mentioned BOB Air Jordan 10, which in turn makes me a fan.
