The Nike Air Max 90 "Infrared" is not only a personal favorite of mine but hands down one of the greatest sneakers in Nike's very deep retro catalog. Needless to say anytime that bright reddish-pink, "Infrared" hue is used on an Air Max 90, it is bound to garner high attention, and we have a prime example of that with the Atmos x Nike Air Max 90 "Duck Camo". Nike and Tokyo/NYC based sneaker store, Atmos, got together last year to create 2 Air Max 90's, both of which utilized a different style of camo. Atmos, who isn't new to Nike collaborations, or the Air Max platform for that matter, always takes a step outside the box and gives us something unique that we wouldn't normally see offered through Nike's inline product. The Atmos x Nike Air Max 90 "Camo" pack consists of the "Tiger Camo" Air Max 90 which utilizes a mixture of details including 3M Tiger Camo and a glow in the dark speckled sole to create a unique look, and the "Duck Camo" Air Max 90 which uses a Duck Camo print on the upper and hits on that famous "Infrared" hue on the heel and around the air bag to bring the "Duck Camo" Air Max 90 to life. Originally believed to be exclusive to Atmos' Tokyo locacation, sneakerheads in America were relieved to find out the "Camo" pack would see a release stateside.
Today we have some pictures of my personal favorite of the two, the Duck Camo Air Max 90. I personally own both pairs in the pack, but the Duck Camo pair definitely stands out to me by far. The use of the unique duck camo and classic infrared hits really make this sneaker something special to me, I've been a fan since we got out first look of them on the cover of Australian based sneaker publication, Sneaker Freaker.
