Ronnie Fieg and the whole gang at Kith have a very busy weekend ahead of them. The release of the Ronnie Fieg x Adidas EQT Support 93 "Never Forget" collaboration is Saturday, along with the rest of the KITH "Never Forget" collection that will be dropping alongside the sneakers. There's one big thing I'm forgetting, the re-opening on the KITH Manhattan store in its newly expanded space. When I took a trip to NYC a few weeks ago and took a look at the walls being put in place for the expansion, I couldn't believe how big it was. The additional square footage granted Ronnie the chance to run wild with his imagination for what the KITH flagship location could look like. In a recent GQ article, Ronnie said that he teamed up with the designers at Snarkitecture to bring the new concept for the KITH Manhattan to life, and from the looks and sound of it, they've made quite the team.
Saturday should definitely be a huge day for Ronnie and the team at KITH Manhattan, one you shouldn't miss if you're able to make it. With the release of not only the Adidas collaboration, but the "Never Forget" clothing capsule, and what looks to be new in-house lines from KITH, labeled KITH Classics and KITH Academy, which will only be available in-store Saturday as of right now. I hope everyone has been saving their money, it looks like Ronnie and the team at KITH have set out to take everyones entire October sneaker budget this Saturday alone. It is also imperative to mention that in case you haven't followed, the concept of this collection is based on the uniform of the brave men and women who sacraficed their lives to keep NYC safe during the 9/11 attacks and all those officers who continue to keep the city safe on a daily basis. As part of the release of the "Never Forget" capsule, Ronnie Fieg has promised to donated $15,000 to the National September 11th Memorial and Museum, which if you ask me, is a pretty stand up move on Ronnie Fieg's part.
