Atmos and Nike have a long running relationship that includes a couple of classic collaborations on Nike's Air Max 1. The streak of success between these brands continued in early 2013 when they came together for another Air Max 1 release, this time the release came in the form on a 2 sneaker pack. The pack, dubbed the Camo/Animal Pack, is made up of 2 pairs of Air Max 1's that both feature a different style of camo and animal print. The black and green pair dubbed the "Tiger Camo" features an upper that uses a forest style tiger camo on top of a black snakeskin to bring the "Tiger Camo" AM1 to life. The other pair from the collaborative effort between Nike and Atmos came in the form of a women's only release which came as an upset to most due to the lack of availability of men's sizes. Needless to say, when the Atmos Air Max 1 Camo Animal Pack released back on February 23rd, 2013, it was extremely popular and sold out immediately.
Fast forward to Fall 2014, its now been over a year and the Atmos Air Max 1 "Tiger Camo" is still very sought after and fetches a high price on the secondary market. Recently, I was lucky enough to get my hands on a crispy deadstock pair of the collaboration thanks to my friend James. James is one-half of the team that runs the website, Lifestyleofkicks. James has quite the collection of samples, PE's and other limited sneakers most collectors wish they could get their hands on. When we recently got together to shoot some pictures, James asked me what sneakers I wanted to shoot that day, he then reached into his closet and to my surprise pulled out a deadstock pair of the Atmos AM1 collaboration, he knew these were right up my alley.
Below you will find some of my favorite pictures from our day out a couple weeks ago. Once again, a big thanks to James for letting me take these out the day to get some pictures.
